Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He will make your paths straight.

This is the prayer on my heart right now—that I would keep learning how to put all my trust in the Lord and not lean on my own understanding. I know that if I put my trust in Him, He will do as He promised: He will make my paths straight and continue to reveal, bit by bit, what’s next in my story.
It can be a great comfort to know that no matter how we’re feeling, God wants us to tell Him. He wants to hear from us. He wants us to pour out our hearts to Him.
I’m trying to do this more. I want God to be where I go first—whether it’s to celebrate, or to question, to cry, or to vent. I want Him to be my first choice always when it comes to sharing what’s on my heart.
I believe that the more I do this, the deeper my trust in Him will be.
And that’s exactly what I hope for.
Proverbs 8:34-35
(NIV)
Blessed are those who listen to me,
watching daily at my doors,
waiting at my doorway.
For those who find me find life
and receive favor from the LORD.
This week, I want to take time to truly quiet my heart and just listen—making space to hear from the Lord, so I’m better able to follow his direction for my days.
Lately, I’ve been spending more time in the Word and journaling, which has helped me to focus on staying rooted. I’m also continuing my study of the Proverbs 31 woman. I want to make the most of this season, learning and growing and becoming more of the woman God has created me to be.
I hope you all had a wonderful fall weekend! I found some pumpkin bagels this afternoon at the grocery store, and I’m pretty excited to enjoy one tomorrow morning. A little pumpkin goodness is the perfect way to start a Monday, if you ask me. ;)
Hi, everyone! I’m bringing back the Weekly Scripture selection.
Here is my selection for this week: Ephesians 3:16-19 (NIV)
Hope your day is blessed!
Hi, friends! Sorry I haven’t written in a bit. Life’s been busy, and I haven’t had much time for writing.
I have quite a few different posts in the works, though, so I hope to share some inspiring bits and pieces throughout the next week or so. :)
Tonight, I’d like to share this week’s scripture selection. In selecting this passage, I’ve been thinking quite a bit about growth and change, a topic I explored in my Sketchbook Project.
The last few years have been full of a lot of personal growth for me—spiritually, artistically, etc. At times, being stretched and challenged was disheartening. And sometimes, it was difficult to see God in the midst of it all. During those moments, doubt often would creep in. But what I’ve learned—and continue to learn—is He always has our best interests in mind. And He truly knows what’s best.
This week’s scripture selection:
“Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.”-Galatians 6:9
It’s exciting to see what He’s done in my life during these growth-filled years, the adventures He’s led me on, the things I’ve discovered about who I am—and more importantly—who He is.
I continue to follow His lead, being changed a little bit more each step of the way, becoming more and more “me”—the “me” He created me to be.
