About Katie

Hi, I’m Katie, a magazine journalist turned greeting card creator who loves lattes, possibilities, and helping others live and tell inspired stories.

I started A Place to Dwell way, way back in 2008 as a place where I could grow — as a writer, a creative, and a woman who was just starting to find her faith. In the years since I started this blog, A Place to Dwell has become a place where stories are celebrated, inspirations are shared, and polka dots are worn — often.

A Place to Dwell is my place to capture the colorful moments of life and give thanks to God for the story He is writing for me — even when it’s unexpected. I continue to learn that His plan is always, always better than mine and that the good stuff, the growing stuff, is often found in the unexpected chapters we find ourselves in.

So, here’s to the unexpected, to undiscovered possibilities, and all the adventures we have yet to experience!

I’m glad you’re here, and I look forward to learning, growing, and celebrating our stories together!

** Many thanks to Kelsey of Pinegate Road for taking my photos and doing that lovely hand lettering you see in the photo above. **

Hey K! My friend Jee Young over at teachtoinspire.wordpress.com left a comment about your blog in my recent post (I thought I left a comment, but maybe it didn’t work?!). Reading your about me page before I looked at anything else has already inspired and delighted me. I will DEFINITELY be a frequent reader. I like you!

Hi! So I really wish we could be “real life” friends and sit and drink coffee or tea together. I feel as if we love a lot of the same things? Hope you are having a blessed day! :)
