Let’s Work Together

Hi there, and welcome to my blog. I’m so glad you’re here and that you’re interested in learning more about my freelance writing, editing, and artwork.

If you’re new to this space, allow me to introduce myself: I’m Katie, a writer, creator, and polka-dot wearer. I like stories, typography, and all things charming and whimsical.

But even more importantly, I’m just a girl who has always been enchanted by words.

My background: I have a magazine journalism degree and am an experienced writer and editor for a variety of mediums, including magazine and newspaper features and articles, as well as poetry. In addition, I have written and edited for a variety of national hobby and lifestyle publications, and I have been blogging since 2008.

My voice: I love to write about faith, the arts, and living life fully and creatively. As an avid reader, I’m also happy to consider writing and reviewing your book as a feature here on A Place to Dwell. I believe in the power of our stories, and I’d love to bring my voice to your publication, or help you tell your own story (or the story of your business) in a fresh and creative way.

My artwork: I love to create bright + colorful artwork that brings hope, beauty, joy, and encouragement. You can visit my art page to learn more.
